About Us

Ferretowns goal is to make every attempt to place our ferrets in a loving environment. We do this by getting to know any prospective buyers and to go through a qualification process before any ferret is placed. Please note if a prospective adopter is under 18 a parent will be required to be the adopter. We do not place any kit without prior ferret ownership regarding the buyer. Kits are time intensive and require special understanding, needs and proper socialization. We will also be very honest with prospective buyers as to the good or lacking qualities of each ferret. Ferretown will only place kits as breeders to persons with approved breeding plans that we feel will compliment our breeding program and will give them the highest quality care. All kits are sold with a spay/neuter/care legal contract that requires the kit to be spayed or neutered by the new owners between 6 to 12 months of age or placement of a Suprelorin implant as well as correct care for the life of the ferret. Delaying spaying or neutering is in the health interests of the kit. We do not wean our kits before 8 - 10 weeks old. All kits have a guarantee of genetic health and have a full return policy for the first 60 days. Our Ferretry is ADV negative tested. Kits can be reserved with a $50 deposit, fully refundable. If interested please contact us. We normally will only have 1 to 3 litters in a year. Shipping can be arranged but only with United Pet Safe coming from Seattle and at the buyers expense to approved homes.

Who We Are

Ferretown USA is a small private home based breeder of very select pedigreed ferrets located in the Pacific North West of the United States.

Our History

Our love of ferrets started over 25 years ago when, like many, our first pet ferret came home to live with us. Bandit was just the beginning and soon our family had added several more fuzzies to our crew and had started to attend shows when we could. Then along came our first privately bred pedigreed ferret and we were hooked. The years have flown by since then with many shows, wins and champions to our name. We do not show at this time but still breed towards a standard of excellence for temperament, health and structure. All of our ferrets bred have at least a five generation known pedigree with most going back at least twice that in lineage.
